Just an afternoon drive from Chicago, Detroit has been influenced by the sounds of House since its inception. However, over the years, Detroit has had little exposure to the developing "west coast" sound that has breathed new life into what may now be referred to as Classic House. Tracks laden with this west coast funk, and quirkier sounds with a tech edge, are a staple of what Pitchslap Music is all about. Somewhere between San Francisco and Detroit--musically speaking--Pitchslap is a collaboration of six very dedicated DJs (not to overlook the production talents of one) who want nothing more than to play the tracks they love to others who share their connection to House music.
