I am committed to teaching everyone and anyone what they can do to conserve energy and help the environment, one step at a time. Whether it’s replacing a standard incandescent light bulb with an energy-saving compact fluorescent, taking a bus, or recycling those old homework papers I want to help you realize you can make a difference! Changing your incandescent light bulbs to compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) is one of the easiest ways to start making a difference. CFLs use 75% less energy and last up to 10 times longer than traditional incandescent bulbs. If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an Energy Star qualified CFL, there would be enough energy saved to light 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs, and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars.
