| The Fabulous Huckleberries (Huck) formed in March 2000 as a home studio collaboration between Tim Spainhower(songwriter, vocals, guitar, bass & keyboards) and DrLunk(producer, guitar, bass, keyboards & MIDI drums programmer). With Tim as a child of 80s radio and DrLunk deeply routed in 60s music and the more obscure music of the subsequent decades, Huck has been an attempt to take the best traits of a wide range of musical influences and create new music that shows its influences yet has a unique vibe all its own. By April of 2005, 7 studio projects were completed, consisting of 78 original songs, 52 written by Tim, 20 cowritten with DrLunk and 6 by friends of Huck. These tracks are available for purchase as Huck's Official Underground Anthology .
With each studio project, the standards for composition, performance and recording were raised. In July 2005, as the eighth project was nearing completion, Tim and DrLunk decided to take Huck to the next level. The MIDI drums were replaced with the tasteful beats of Jim "The Show" Della Rocco and lead guitar was provided by John Allen, both of whom Tim had worked with in various bands and other studio projects. The result was Huck's first professionally mastered CD, Heart of Stone . Currently, Huck is recording a new album and in rehearsal to bring their unique music to the stage. Joining them on lead guitar is Mark Miller. Mark is well known in the Indiana music scene and brings a solid blues and rock influence to Huck. A vocalist and songwriter as well, Mark is adding greatly to Huck's core belief that original music can be created having an universal appeal without pandering to the least common denominator.
