About Me |
|
A WORD OF WARNING: My side project is with Bryce "Da Man" Halliday, one of the most talented musicians I've ever met. Our project is called Traders Of The Precinct . Finally, I also have a bit of an outing going with my friend Jack who plays bass in the band Laceration. Collectively, we are Doctor Strangelove And The Doomsday Device. Just in case you hadn't picked up upon looking around the place, I really like music. A lot. Why? Because it's fucking amazing- it changes lives. It means a lot to me personally, along with so many other people in this SICK SAD WORLDDDDD and I believe it makes the world go round. It is an international language. Do you speak it, motherfucker? I listen to fucking heaps of different music, from mainstream pop music to underground metal bands. You can tell by the big music list I use to impress my friends to show people what bands and I like. Go chekkit. It's now in high definition. "What does a scanner see? I mean, really see? Into the head? Down into the heart? Does a passive infrared scanner … see into me — into us — clearly or darkly? I hope it does see clearly, because I can't any longer these days see into myself. I see only murk. Murk outside; murk inside. I hope, for everyone's sake, the scanners do better. Because if the scanner sees only darkly, the way I myself do, then we are cursed, cursed again and like we have been continually, and we'll wind up dead this way, knowing very little and getting that little fragment wrong too." Death Cab For Cutie and The Format are my two current favourite bands. Death Cab for their incredible musicianship and lyrics, The Format for their fun, their wit and harmony. In turn, these albums have the potential to change your life: "I roll the window down And then begin to breath in The darkest country road And the strong scent of evergreen From the passenger seat where you are driving me home Then looking upwards, I strain my eyes and try To tell the difference between shooting stars and satellites From the passenger seat as you are driving me home. "Do they collide?" I ask, and you smile. With my feet on the dash The world doesn't matter. When you feel embarrassed then I'll be your pride When you need directions then I'll be the guide for all time. for all time..." -Passenger Seat, Death Cab For Cutie " Don't you dare speak for someone you don't know. They'll feel it in the back of their throat. We know I can't construct a poem, Cause words like girls get bored and run C'est la vie, I say "I've got so many better things" I've got nothing, you should see me, I smoke myself to sleep. And blame postmodern things I can't relate, Like summer camp and coastal states. Like alcohol and coffee beans. Dance floors and magazines. I think its safe to say I've only got myself to blame But boys in swooping haircuts are bringing me down Taking pictures of themselves. And so I walk the web in search of love, But always seem to end up stuck. I'm finding flaws in everyone. I've reached the point where all I want, Is to sleep around in hopes that I will catch back up. We are parallel lines we’re running in circles, We're never meant to cross. I'm at a loss- you were my tangerine, My pussycat, my trampoline. Now alls I get are wincing cheeks, And dog problems? I signed a lease. Thinking my heart belonged at 93rd and Park. Instead I broke a girl’s heart And flew back to Phoenix to finish the year as it started. Can you hear me? Are you listening? This is the sound of my heart breaking. And I hope it's entertaining, Cause for me it’s a bitch. Was it worth it? When you slept with him? Did you get it all out of your system? I am a man Holding it all I couldn’t breath Coming across I didn’t know I couldn’t give up! B is for believing you'd always be here for me and E is for everything- even when we see it through C? C is for c-ing through you You are a fake Which brings me to A: BECAuse, BECAuse you always run away! I never finish phrases, I misspell Open arms are prison cells When I said "I hate what I've become" I lied- I hated who I WAS So when you start to worry about the pain in my throat? Don't you EVER, no NEVER Ever speak for someone you don't know" -Dog Problems, The Format My all time favourite is R.E.M , that will never change. They mean the fucking world to me. If you don't know them already, get on it RIGHT NOW. Of course, I'm not all about music. These are a few other things I loike: * film * television * forums * Nintendo 64 * computers * hugs * friendship * discussion (usually about music) * boys * girls * men * women * the internet * Henry Rollins * journalism * lyric writing * pirates * YouTube * cities * Triple J * poetry * what the human voice can do * Good Charlotte hating They are a lot of fun.
Another thing you'll find out is that I'm known by a few different names for a few different reasons. Here are the names without reasons, for the ones who call me by such names KNOW the reasons. ALTEREGOS: Oh, there's one other thing: If you use Messenger, my contact is: The End! Was it good for you too, bby? BISEXUAL The best of both worlds And the Mercy Seat is waiting, and I think my head is burning... |
