| Born in the early eighties in a small city near Naples, in the south of Italy, Kayem (real name: Bruno Besutti) started as a producer in the year 1997 and as a dj in 2002. His musical background has been formed through the years thanks to many factors. First of all he was attracted by electronic music at the very young age of 8, when he heard for the first time a track made by Enigma (Sadness) on the radio. From that moment on he kept listening to that kind of music, discovering his favourite sounds in the hardest side of it: the techno music. DJPC, Human Resource, 2 Unlimited, L.A. Style and artists like those were his first inspirations and then, when he discovered hardcore music his desire to produce something on his own grown day by day.
When his father bought him his first computer, the legendary Amiga 500, Kayem was immediately attracted by Pro-Tracker, a very powerfull program to produce music. His first tracks were not that good (they were simply awful I’d say!) but he had the opportunity to start learning the basics of electronic music producing. Many years passed on while he learned how to produce different styles of music.
When the hardstyle music hit the hard dance music scene he immediately fell in love with it and started to produce it himself. His first hardstyle production turned out to be his first vinyl release: “The Dj Rocks” on DJS United Red label, released in the year 2004. Afterwards he produced more and more hard stuff for different labels such as Sound Barrier (IT), IMP Music (NL) and DJS Records (NL) and had collaborations with very important artists like Tatanka, Zatox and Brainkicker.
During this producing period he also had time to improve his djing skill and to perform in different countries like Holland, France (Tektonik Events), UK (Freaquency Events) and, of course, Italy, where everyone was always very happy to listen to his sets.
At present Kayem is very busy with his job but, at the same time, he’s working hard on more and more musical projects trying to bring out some quality stuff…so, simply stay tuned and you will see what will come! .. .. .. .. |
