If you don't know comics you probably don't know who I
am which is fine because that's what Myspace is for.
Really. Oh, and if you google me only the good stuff
is true. Really.

I've been an artist for as long as I can remember and
a professional (paid) artist for 27 years, and all
those years have been in comics. In ..92 I was part of
what some have called a revolution in the comic
industry. Me and six other goofs decided we didn't
want to WORK for "The Man" but wanted to BE "The Man"!
At least our bizarro version of The Man. A version
where "The Man" was replaced by "The Creators" . The
lunatics literally took over the asylum and Image
comics was born. For the first time the creators had
real juice in an industry run by publishers. Cool
shit. Sixteen years later we're still here and we
still got juice. Very cool shit.

I live to make stuff up and its worked out pretty
well. I've gotten to not only create whatever I want
but I've gotten to work with some of the most kick ass
artists and writers around. Plus I get to play in a
sandbox that includes not just comics but TV, video
games, Anime, toys, and movies too. The best part is
that the sand in the box is mine and nobody gets to
kick it in my face.

Outwardly I'm an easy going guy but I know that if you
have a sweet tooth you can't put out your hand and
wait for somebody to give you a candy bar. You want
that Baby Ruth sometimes you gotta go out and make the
chocolate (yes, you are correct, that was an annoying
analogy). Probably the toughest part about becoming a
business man/artist/creator/ etc. was learning that in
the real world nobody gives you candy. I love candy.

I'm an Aries and an artist so if you know (or care)
about astrology you must already be feeling sorry for
my lovely (and patient) wife Bridget. Yep, us artistic
types (you know who you are you freaks) can be a bit
much to deal with. And us Aries types (you know who
you are you sick fucks) can be a bit much too.

I live in LA with the previously mentioned lovely
(actually check out my photo section because she is
drop dead all out gorgeous) wife and a really weird
but strangely likable Doberman named Ronald. Btw, if
anyone reading this is afraid of Dobermans rest
assured that even though they can look quite fierce,
they are in fact big pussies. Alice our English
Bulldog on the other hand would kick your ass if you
looked at us wrong. She would then take said ass and
eat it, dump it out the next morning, gaze at it's
steaming beauty, think of you and laugh. That bitch
rocked. RIP girl.

LA is awesome because you can love it and hate it at
the same time and it will totally understand. Its cool
that way. Plus this is where the Wizard lives and my
head is always in Oz. I love movies and now that
comics own Hollywood and it's surgically enhanced
butt, its a great time to do what I do.
