Until then, y'all can check back for sample chapters from the upcoming novels, as well as information on Amazon Shorts (lil mini-electronic books). I am enjoying the success of my new novel series, DRAMA HIGH (available EVERYWHERE books are sold), targeted towards African American young adults. The series takes place in Compton, California with the main character, Jayd Jackson, moving between her home world and a white high school in the South Bay of Los Angeles. She deals with all of the typical teenage drama like cheating boyfriends and fights with hatin' females but has the help of her mystical grandmother, Mama, to see her through. This series is closely related to my own experiences and anyone who has ever gone to high school a day in their life can feel Jayd's journey. So far, there are 6 published NOVELS(out of 44) with the first, THE FIGHT, debuting in OCTOBER, 2006 followed by SECOND CHANCE in DECEMBER and JAYD'S LEGACY in FEB. 2007. The next 3, FRENEMIES, LADY J and Courtin' Jayd, will be released JANUARY, MARCH AND SEPTEMBER, 2008.I am a native of Compton, California. I have lived in Jamaica and now reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I have spent much time in Ghana, Puerto Rico and various other cities and states and what nots;) I have two beautiful children and love my life as a writer/educator/life-long student.
