| MC Belly started his career back in 1998 on Life FM where he became involved with Paul Roast and mell AKA lioness. thanks to steve green and the one and only BULLDOG the late [ LEE BREACH ][R.I.P] and, later, Freeze FM. As a garage DJ in 1999, Belly (aka DJ Tomo) ran Dirty Phat Beats record shop in Uxbridge, West London. owned bye his very good friends Stevie vibes and beavis . In the same year he released his first garage tune 'Scarface Liar' which successfully sold thousands of copies and earned him his first break and he later released tunes such as 'Tyson', and 'Why Are We? Stemming from his love of jungle when he was younger, in late 2001 Belly expanded into drum & bass and got back on the scene. In 2002-5 he was mixing drum n bass on various FM radio stations such as InnerCity Radio, Major Fm and Gridlock FM. But he began to tire of it and in July 2005, he decided to put down hs record bag and pick up the mic and start writing lyrics one his first was, ''Fast like electricity/ Unstable like society/ Hold the mic and im fluently/ One of the best MC that you will ever see/ Check out my vocabulary/ Intentionally I can get nasty/ Doing my rap on the m-i-c/ For all the people to get lively.''booo 2006 saw him enter onto the rave scene and he played his first at Drumatics in Bristol with DJ DAF B2B with DJ METHOD and Rolo. The promoter heard him and from that night made him a drumatics resident he made his way from Room 2 at the mass with NICKY BLACKMARKET [boxing day killed it]and the renaissance rooms with DEVIOUS D and MC DET. into Room 1 in 2007 at Shepherd's Bush Empire onstage with Chase & Status and Phantasy.MC DET RIDDLA and FLEXEMUS,. He also played at Informal, SWARM, Breakthrough @ Herbal, Phoenix Nights, Refresh, LightVisions, Roses, Deepha,.and battle off the mcs. In 2007 he took his first step as a promoter and launched his own drum & bass night (CABIN FEVER) which have featured RUFFSTUFF, FUN , KID , DEEZA , CONTACT , METHOD, YABBA , T.AMIGO , KITCH , DANNO , DLJ, STEPPA D , WHITLEY FOUNDATION , TANK , SINBAD , NATRAL , ANDY BURBY , with both nights roadblock he has hes eyes on bigger venues so keep posted. In the same year, he began broadcasting on drum n bass worldwide. with DJ METHOD. You can hear MC Belly every Friday on www.lifefm.co.uk 10-12pm with DJ METHOD .
