Starting as a party for friends on Ibiza, the Namaste Experience has grown into a celebration, that includes people from all walks of life, who want to participate in the creation of a world filled by colors, music, conciousness and love. Free from religions and politics, Namaste holds forth an invitation for all to come together in tollerance and creativity, in beauty and love, to experience a fusion of ethnic music, exotic food and performances.
International artists, such as dancers from India, the Far East and the Orient, musicians from Brasil, Mexico, India or Europe, get together and perform in the beautiful and exotically decorated garden of Las Dalias. Asian and Oriental food is served and World Music is played, either live in the garden or mixed by international Djs in the "Dance Temple".
The Namaste Party has developed into an overall popular trend event and has grown to include the most authentic, creative artists and forms of expressions existing on this magic island. Namaste is propelled by an international team of island's creatives, musicians, painters, photographers and Djs.
The main forces bringing this party to life are:
-Alok: family man, gipsy soul, Dj and warm smile behind Namaste's general coordination. Dreamer and mover. "I Love children, music and to bring my vision to the Human Family."
-Merel: mother of 5 children, free spirit in charge of the Namaste decoration. Visionary and Heartbeat of the Namaste happenings. "For me life is a wonderful opportunity to unite forces and take care of this beautiful planet for our children and generations to come."
-Jon Michell: rebel and musician with a long musical history on the island. Backbone of Namaste's stage shows. Master of ceremonies and servant of the Earth. "Creativity offers the greatest opportunity for transformation. Let's make miracles!"
The series of Namaste Compilations has reached the fifth release this year with "Namaste Cultures", compiled and mixed by Dj Alok, as usual. The musical choice reflects once again the variety of the party flair: Ethno Lounge and World Beats, ambient and groovy tracks from artist around the globe.
Artists featuring on the compilations, amongst others are: Prem Joshua, Jon Michell, Praful, Deep Dive Corp., Bahram Ji, Highlight Tribe, Nickodemus, Bliss, Christophe Goze, Paco Fernandez, Maneesh de Moore, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Taufiq, Mari Boine, Plazasonora, etc.
The next opening of the Namaste parties is on the 4th of June 2008, at Las Dalias, S. Carlos in Ibiza.
