About Me |
|
Formed in 2006, The Black Hand hail from Brighton, England. The Black Hand was born as a two-piece when long time friends, vocalist and lyricist Ian Kavanagh, and guitarist Anthos Chrysanthou (The Thos) decided to do something they believe in. After a few late nights and early mornings writing songs underneath a dim red light, it was time to add to the duo. Soon after, Anthos's brother George picked up the bass and joined the band. The Black Hand were nearly ready to rock, except for the problem of finding a suitable and committed drummer. Enter THE MACHINE, and so far (fingers crossed) no more commitment problems. Now, the Black Hand write all their songs of love, lust, faith, sex, mystery, and devotion, together, but always and forever beneath the red light. Check out the video to Black Cadillac, which was directed by George, and there will be more on the way (Anton Corbijn, watch out!!!!). The Black Hand have really, really got to be seen live, they will probably leave you feeling a little..erm... concerned, for all the right reasons of course. Don't go and see them if all you're looking for is a good time. As Ian Kavanagh sings in new song 'A Little Death', "A little death on your own... Well, It's a hidden condition". Over and over and over again Nicola Spelman (revised February 2008) I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace))) |
