Str8 Sounds – monstrosity in motion Str8 Sounds – flyming through with you STR8 SOUNDS [a Sludge Farm Records artist] arose from the ashes of art noise rockers CAMOUFLAGE DANSE , the band he formed with co-founder and Junior High buddy Bennett Theissen of Killradio.org Chillroom. CAMOUFLAGE DANSE, which did most of its business in NYC’s Lower East Side, from 1983-1989, performed at The Knitting Factory, Brooklyn Academy of Culture & Art (BACA), Brooklyn Armory, ReCherChez, Cuando, WGAF, Gas, NoSeNo, and WFMU. The band featured R. Dee Lloyd, Yeller Skeltin, Koch, and guest musicians like Doug McCombs of TORTOISE . Poor CAMOUFLAGE DANSE was successful at absolutely nothing of any value, helped by a spontaneous aesthetic that proved nothing at all. Please don’t waste any more precious time listening to this. From his exalted din throne, and guided by a stalwart ethnomethodology, S. Str8 launched his Sounds, but the King of Noise Concertos went slightly pop and began to talk-sing and forced the cheesey Casios to empire and vainglory. Now, with his exalted din throne imposing richer density pattern satellite silhouettes, he has brought forth this, to defeat the Eternal War Doctrine of Radical Militarism. Str8’s most famous show was with Bloody Mess & the Skabs and Dollface at the German-American Society Hall, Peoria, IL around 1992. He and Bloody had to meet with the Vice Squad Lieutenant in a secret police bunker, and had to go to court, because during slam dancing in mosh pit some redneck bullies got beaten severely by gay punk bikers. Like it was the music’s fault. Str8 has also performed in such bands as PINK FREUD, $10 WORTH OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, THE ANARCHY ENFORCERS, WRPI EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC ENSEMBLE, CHARLEY HICKEY & THE LOVE BITES, LSSO (LARGE SCALE SWINE OPERATIONS), LOOP SLUMP MOLD, EUPHORIC INDOCTRINATION MODULE, WAINWRIGHTS OF THE MIND, and the LA LA LANDERS MASOCHISTIC ORCHESTRA. Streight is the mastermind of the imaginary animal music band METAPHYSICAL PLATYPUS and is the founder and CEO of notorious "destroying music since 1989" viral music marketing firm SLUDGE FARM RECORDS .
