| this is a one hour weekly programme only available on WWW.BISHOPFM.COM.every SUNDAY AT 8PM (NOT AS ADVERTISED ON THE PICTURE, THATS OUT OF DATE) it concentrates on alternative music from the 1970's and 80's, crossing over genres which include punk punk/funk industrial goth electro dub reggae and simple pop. the music does most of the talking for itself, just introductions from me who is passionate about what he's playing, it's there to be enjoyed for it's historical and influential content as well as sounds which are still as fresh as ever. The idea of the programme is to give a decent account of all things alternative to the mainstream at this point in time. A concern was and is that many people live in a closed shop,declaring themselves as purely 'punk',goth' or whatever and refusing to acknowledge other genres which leaves them in a dogmatic straightjacket. The feedback up to this point has been positive with people enjoying the diversity,relighting nostalgiac fires and in many cases opening their ears to things for the first time.
