Hello hello hello! Welcome to our SPACE!!! Please kick off your shoes and stay awhile :) We love having you here, and we love hearing from you - so drop us a comment and let us know who you are, where you live, why you love Country music, and anything else you want to share! We also love reading comments...so feel free to chat it up! Actually that seems like a really good place for us to start, too! (And, no, we don't always type and talk in the "we" form....this is Kate right now...I'll let you know when Kacey takes over!) Here's our "facts": My sister Kacey and I (aka Kate) are identical twin sisters :) :) We live in Nashville, TN in a little apartment together - we've always been roomies We LOVE Country music. I mean REALLY LOVE Country music. We LOVE it because of the stories every song tells, the voices who sing the songs, the honesty in every lyric, the beat that makes you wanna get up and kick off your shoes and dance till there's dirt flying...I could go on and on and on... First and foremost I believe my "job" on this earth is to be the best daughter, sister, and friend that I can be....and I know I speak for Kacey as well when I say that we feel blessed to be able to call singing and songwriting our "profession" :) We grew up in Denver, Colorado. Actually, we moved there when we were 3 years old....we were born in Des Moines, IA. We still have a gigantic family in Iowa, and we go back for Christmas every single year I'm inspired by almost everything, but especially the mountains, the ocean, and a full moon... I am 9 minutes older than Kacey...so I fully get to use my "Older and Wiser Sister" card whenever I want! AND I (Kacey) get to be 39 for 9 whole minutes while Kate is 40 someday....Woo hoo! So this is Kacey talking now. Chocolate Chip cookies are my specialty in the kitchen...Every single day I miss my friends and family that live all over this country. The most exciting moment in our careers so far was probably the day we found out that George Strait had recorded one of our songs for his new album Troubadour! It's called "House With No Doors", and we wrote it with our friend Jamey Johnson! My favorite season is Fall, I love college football, and I really really don't like doing the dishes after dinner....which is why I'll put it off as long as possible until Kate gets fed up and usually ends up doing them herself...:) haha Kate and I play out around town a lot....and we would love to see you and meet you at one of our shows sometime soon!
