| Hello AllSomeone just asked an interesting question, so I thought I would put it down...the question was "what is this overnight thing?" Well, here it goes...The Overnight Project is a brand new idea in online entertainment.Overnight is the first 100 percent user-generated scripted show in the history of myspace.The idea began as a simple story. The story of a high school rock band, on the verge of breaking up, that gets the chance of lifetime to open up for a huge rock band on a nationwide tour. The show would consist of different tour dates, relationships, and experiences loosely based on my experiences being the lead singer of a rock band and touring the country between 2003-2005.But something happened along the way, as we geared up to begin this show, we all had a great idea... what if we let the people who are watching this show help write it, act in it, write the songs, play the songs, and film all the action? Essentially what if we made our studio and our studio players all based out of the online community known as MySpace.Now, with the aid of Olivia Munn, Universal Music Group and record label Universal Republic, we are out to find the crew, actors, and music to create the show and letting you watch and contribute the whole way through.That means, if you have an idea for a logo, bring it on. If you just wrote a song and think it might work for a theme song, or a song to be performed by The Overnights on an episode email it to us. If you ever wanted to edit something other than your favorite fan video to be posted on youtube, send us your demo and we'll bring you on board. And if you could act, sing, or write we'll bring you in audition you and hopefully get u to be a part of the project.I've been in the entertainment business for a short while and have seen what it takes to get a project up and running, but I've never seen a show that truly shows how to make the impossible happen... create art and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.This project is just the first step towards using the tools all of you have and make art a community art form again.
