The Big Indie Comeback Vol. 2

GENRE PEAK is the music of Martin Birke
(formerly of sandbox trio & Casualty Park),
joined by several well known and accomplished musicians and artists. 2005-06 saw Genre Peak as a live trio with Daniel Panasenko & Stephen Sullivan that resulted in the debut album ENDS OF THE EARTH, which garnered extremely good reviews in international media and several intrinsic live shows around California. The trio dispanded in late 2006 and Martin with producer Christopher Scott Cooper recruited an international cast of well known musicians (Mick Karn, Tara C. Taylor, Gustaf Fjelstrom, Kiss & Fly and Stereoskop) for the forthcoming studio album PRETERNATURAL, a darker more electronic trance-pop collection of songs which is currently in post-production at Blue Seven Audio with a Spring 2008 release . GENRE PEAK is eclectic modern music , unpredictable and expansive.

"Trying to avoid the retro sound of many rock bands GP succeeds in coming up with something fresh and entertaining. Mixing the psychedelic atmospheres of Ozrik Tentacles with some Depeche Mode elements, they obtain their own style. Real musicians flirting with synthesizers, without losing themselves in the experiment. Modern rock blurring the line between popular and experimental music! "
- Noa, SIDE-LINE Magazine

" Ends of the Earth is particularly outstanding because it flows so effortlessly. Genre Peak, on the whole, takes a lot of influence from past electronica and updates it handily to fit the cultural progression of the new millennium. The album impeccably reflects the post-postmodern sound - detached, cool, minimalist and wired."
- Susan Brooks ,WEST COAST PERFORMER Magazine

"You need to have this CD in your collection. Really good. No excuse to not have it right now on your CD players. Buy it and like us you will not be disappointed at all."
- Gi Dussault UPPER ROOM RADIO SHOW
