DiabLos is a person who mixes still and motion graphics (own movies, photographs, illustrations, video footage, video art, animation, etc) in real time, onto a large screen at night clubs and various kinds of events. "Ever since childhood he has been fascinated with photography, has virtually kilometers of black and white films. Diablos worked in a radio for 7 years in the 1990s, where he hosted a programme called JAZZGOT popularizing jazz and hip-hop music. He also spent 7 years working in Warsaw in marketing, publications and agency. Account, Marketing Manager. Starting from the year 2001 on an active participant of the club culture. Initially as a clubber and currently a V.J. Cooperating with a certain I.T. company (8 years Apple Evangelist exp.) has lead to a fascination of graphical and movie-making hardware and software, as well as v.j. software. Keen on making live visualisations. He uses his own computer graphics and processed pictures of vegetables and fruit, a result of a cooperation with a medical publisher for whom he made pictures of vegetables and fruit for over 2 years. Motion visuals, live acts performed using 2 laptops and an external keyboard. He debuited as a V.J. on the 12th of June 2004 in the Warsaw club of Klubokawiarnia. Cosequent performances in Klubo, Piekarnia, Luzztra, Zoo... Additionally he processes own films to make them look weird using numerous effects and altered sequences". Jarosław Bałabański (Olsztyn) Na początku zamazywał twarze i wydłużał nosy anonimowych postaci z przypadkowych zdjęć. Środkami artystycznego wyrazu uczynił szybki ruch i intensywne kolory. Jarosław Bałabański swoją przygodę z obrazem zaczął od podpatrywania i kontrolowania pracy grafików. Tak zdobyte umiejętności wykorzystywał jako wizualizator jednego z warszawskich klubów. Wówczas przekonał się, że nic nie sprawia mu takiej przyjemności, jak świecenie ludziom w oczy, kiedy tańczą lub piją piwo. Wizualizacje mają wzbogacać muzykę i, jak podkreśla sam ich twórca, zmieniać jakość danej imprezy. Eksperymenty zaprowadziły Bałabańskiego w nowe dla niego sfery przestrzeni audiowizualnej. Recepta była prosta. Kiedy nałożył na siebie to, co brudne i niemiłe, a do tego dodał odpowiednie filtry, powstał film. Na swoim koncie ma już dwie tego rodzaju produkcje. – Wszyscy możemy robić zdjęcia i filmy – podkreśla artysta. Nie każdy jednak, korzystając z nowych technologii, wyraża swój niepokój wobec otaczającej rzeczywistości, w sposób, który może być traktowany w kategoriach „nowej sztuki”. |
