About Me |
|
| The Equinox is the time at which day and night are of equal length. It is a time of balance within a continually shifting process and a period of stability in between extremes. The four members of the jazz quartet Equinox are like minded in their desire to balance opposing musical forces; tension and resolution, dissonance and consonance, innovation and tradition. All of the members of Equinox are steeped in the jazz tradition which continually informs their search for personal avenues of expression in improvisation and composition. Among the band’s strengths is a vast and wide ranging repertoire that includes originals by all band members, modern and classic jazz pieces and choice American songbook standards.
