About Me |

| Us... Monrow formed late in 2007, starting out with founding members Davie Gourlay and Gregor McNally. Having had several writing sessions in Davie's spare room they felt it was time to take things to the next stage and start recruiting other band members. After a couple of months of jamming/rehearsing with a couple of different line-ups, we felt the band was complete - members consisted of Davie & Gregor, Calum Stewart, and Donald Bain. However, at this point Gregor was still playing rhythm guitar aswell as lead vocals....this was about to change. Gregor felt it'd be best if we brought in another guitarist and let him get on doin the frontman thing, so we all got our phones out and started asking around for a rhythm guitarist......he eventually came in the form of Gary Brown. The band was complete. So far since their first gig in The Doghouse alongside friends The Frets (23rd May '08), Monrow have come a long way. Turning heads in pubs and clubs everywhere with up-beat tunes that you can't help but at least tap your feet to. The band have landed some great gigs playing with acts such as John Power, The Underclass, Figure 5, Luva Anna and The Draymin. With some even better gigs booked and more and more appearing in the pipeline, 2008 is shaping up to be a successful year for Monrow....and long may it continue. a |
