About Me |
|
| Eddie Eniel has been in the performing arts since childhood. He inherited his father’s talent for the drums, was exposed to many different styles of music, and also had great interest in acting from an early age. Although he entered a talent agency and appeared on some local programs in Puerto Rico at that time, he decided to pursue his career as a musician. At the age of 19, he began to study classical music and a year later, he entered the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. Later he transferred to Miami where he studied at the University of Miami and Florida International University. He obtained a “Bachelor in Jazz Studies” and a minor in “Classical Percussion” from FIU. As a member of the Florida International University Jazz Band, he had the opportunity to perform with great jazz artists such as Arturo Sandoval and Nestor Torres among others. Living in a culturally diverse city like Miami gave him the opportunity to perform in many different music scenarios: Pop Rock, Hard Rock, Jazz, Latin, Gospel, CCM, Orchestral Music, etc. Eddie has an album with world-renowned artists: Alex Acuña, Abraham Laboriel, and Justo Almario, among other great performers. All of the compositions on the album are original songs by him. After some conversations with his brother, (who is a professional actor) he decided to give a try again to acting. To his surprise, he began to get calls on a regular basis to do background work in movies and commercials. He has performed principal and supporting roles in many plays, commercials, and film. In April 2008 he produced the Theater Show "Metamorphosis" held at Times Square Arts Center". The show was a great success and got great reviews. Eddie Eniel is currently working with his Latin Jazz and Pop group. He currently established "Emeth Film Productions".
