We are Volition, we are from Cumbria and we play doom. We recorded our debut album in June 2007 in Bradford, at Studio 1 In 12 with the legendary Bri Doom from Lazarus Blackstar. It has been released by Totalrust Music . It is available from ourselves or from Totalrust Music. We don't want to "big ourselves up" so we will quote Rock A Rolla Magazine : "Volition batter out thick extreme doom metal, they show that the stoned experimental left of the genre aren't running things yet. Keeping a sense of melody high on the agenda, they are still a profoundly weighty affair. Expressing a sense of real pessimism over yer-everyday-doom-darkness, the band proves that they have a heart even if it is a pulped patchwork of nailgun scars and stitchwork" We have played with the following behemoths: Atavist, Bastard Of The Skies, Black Sun, Blood Island Raiders, Bossk, Gloomy Sunday, Charger, Gruel, Lazarus Blackstar, Limbic Riot, Narcosis, Raucous, Raging Speedhorn, Rolo Tomassi, Thade, The Freezing Fog, They Are Cowards, Truckfighters, Winters In Osaka, Witchsorrow & Zangief.
