| I'm a devoted family man who balances so-called normal life with the life of a full blown Metal maniac!!! I've been on the air in D/FW since 1993, first on 99.1 Z-Rock and then on KNON 89.3 FM. I take great pride in doing whatever possible with the avenue I have to keep Metal music alive and thriving in the metroplex. I'm a life long fan of Metal and I love to get on stage and belt out some extreme, loud ass Thrash music in whatever band i'm in at the time or with whoever else invites me up for a song or two!!! I'd like to meet:In the business i've been in for so many years, I've had the great fortune to meet and, in some cases, spend quality time with too many people in the music world to even get into! The person I am most proud to have met and became close personal friends with was undoubtedly Dimebag Fuckin' Darrell!!!!! He was such a big part of my life when he was taken from us. Because of , and thanks to him, I got to meet and hang out with so many cool people, like members of Judas Priest, Slayer, Hatebreed, Thin Lizzy, Anthrax, Alice In Chains, Metallica, King Diamond, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, Soulfly, Shadows Fall, Sebastian Bach, Tommy Lee...and many more I can't even recall, or don't wish to recall right now! Being friends with Dime allowed me to be a part of many situations I normally would have been completly locked out of! Priceless friendship in so many ways!!!!!! As is my friendship with his brother Vinnie Paul, Big Love on him as well!!! Check out his new band HELLYEAH, they will be destroying the planet real soon!!!So I guess if I had to choose anybody I'd still like to meet, I would say Sammy Hagar and Ozzy. Two people I've never had access to. There are a few sports and movie stars I'd like to meet as well, but just a few. A lot of times when you meet somebody you've always wanted to meet, it turns out to be a huge letdown, like Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. I'd been a Maiden fan since '82 and finally got to meet Dickinson for the first time in '92...total dick! Again in '97...total dick! Again in 2000...total dick!!!!!!! Total letdown! The coolest nicest rocker I've ever met was Ronnie James Dio! I've had the pleasure of being around him in many different situations and he's always been a cool motherfucker to me and my people! Big Love on him! Tim "Ripper" Owens is also one of my favorite rockers on the planet! No matter what band he is/was in, he always treated me great and we've always had a great time together, so check out his newest band Beyond Fear! They fuckin' rule!!! |
