Who is Inner Fae? I am a sculptor, giving homage to one of the most magical spirits of Faerie-the mushroom. I am a writer, who writes about the light and dark aspects of the realm from which I draw my inspiration. I am an artist, using nature, art, emotion and the influence of music to express my love of the fantastical. I am a shape shifter, ever changing, growing and evolving. I love red wine and cheese, steampunk decor, steampunk anything for that matter, Boho chic, fantasy and historical films, Taekwondo, reading, writing, making jewelry, absinthe history, Renaissance art, Art Nouveau, attending a ren fair, and taking walks in the woods. About my sculpts Many of my friends, family and peers refer to me as, "the mushroom lady". I am very honored to wear that title, because it says that my mushrooms have made an impact on people. I love the smiles sculptures generate from people of all ages and walks of life. My sculpts are the heart and soul of who I am. Portals I love the idea of seeing into the realm via a portal. I wanted to create something unique and one of a kind. I began by creating my own signature portal-a glass stone, painted with various sparkly powder, surrounded by clay, and inspired by nature, folklore and fantasy. Each piece captures a bit of Faerie. I'd like to meet:I've met some amazing people on my journey through life. My heroes are numerous-Brian Froud who enchants my inner fae. My parents for always believing in anything I did. My husband for his friendship, support and patching my wings when I fall. And above all others, my son, who teaches me something about the world and myself everyday. Still, there are those I have yet to encounter. I feel that every step we take leads us closer to our creative spirit.
