| Bienvenidos al Myspace de Dimmu Borgir Spain. Este space es para todos los fans de Dimmu Borgir en España o cualquier otra parte del mundo. Welcome to Dimmu Borgir Spain's Myspace. This space is for all Dimmu Borgir fans in Spain or the whole world. BIOGRAFÍA Dimmu Borgir es un grupo noruego de Black Metal sinfónico. "Dimmu Borgir" significa "Fortaleza Oscura" en islandés y noruego antiguo y también es un conjunto de cuevas formadas por lava en Islandia, cerca del lago Mývatn. Dicen los nativos que es la entrada al infierno. Esta banda fue fundada en 1993 por Shagrath, Silenoz y Tjovald. Sacaron un LP titulado "Inn I Evighetens Mørke" (Dentro de la eternidad de la oscuridad") que en pocas semanas vendió todas sus copias. En 1994 sacaron el "For All Tid" ("En todo momento"). El line-up era Shagrath en la batería y Tjovald y Silenoz en guitarras y coros, aunque esto cambió antes del Stormblåst. En el 1996 salió "Stormblåst" ("Viento de la tormenta"), álbum que para muchos fans es uno de los más importantes. Se caracteriza por tener todas las canciones escritas y cantadas en noruego. Después de éste último álbum los miembros cambiaron. Stian Aarstad se fue de la banda para hacer el servicio militar, por tanto no participó en la grabación de "Devil's Path" en 1996. Este período estuvo marcado por el abandono de su bajista Brynjard Tristan y la llegada de Nagash. Cuando regresó para grabar "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant" en 1997 tuvo problemas para asistir a todas las fechas de la gira y fue explusado del grupo. Este disco fue el primero que sacaron con la discográfica alemana Nuclear Blast y tuvo éxito de ventas. Después del tour del "Enthrone Darkness Triumphant" la banda reclutó nuevos miembros: Mustis en teclados y Astennu en la segunda guitarra. Los siguientes discos fueron "Spiritual Black Dimensions" en 1999. Para grabar "Puritanical Euphoric Misantrophia" en 2001, cambiaron el line-up: Shagrath (voces), Silenoz (guitarra), Galder (guitarra), ICS Vortex (bajo y voces limpias), Mustis (teclado) y Nick Barker (batería). En el 2003 apostaron con su mayor impulso financiero por crear "Death Cult Armageddon". Algunas partes de este disco fueron grabadas por la Orquesta Filarmónica de Praga para incluir arreglos de música clásica. En el 2005 sacaron la completa re-grabación del "Stormblåst". En el 2007, "In Sorte Diaboli", con Hellhammer en la batería. Este álbum es una combinación de partes de batería rápida, arreglos complejos etc. Hellhammer no pudo acabar la gira por una lesión, le sustituyó Tony Laureano.
