Jon is a singer, a song writer, a guitarist, a surfer and a skater. AWESOME combination! He's a skillful juggler too. =-D The frontman of the MULTI-PLATINUM Alternative Rock band SWITCHFOOT, which he is the co-founder, Jon writes beautiful and meaningful songs. AMAZING lyricist! For over a decade, his songs have brought people together and had inspired millions of fans all over the world . Switchfoot had received many nominations and awards over the years, but in 2001, Jon was presented the "Les Paul Horizon Award" for the most promising up-and-coming guitarist at the annual Orville H. Gibson Guitar Awards in Los Angeles. At the DOVE AWARDS 2008, Jon was nominated "Male Vocalist of the Year" and Switchfoot's song "AWAKENING" also received a nomination in the category "Rock/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year"! * Third Saturday of every month is "Jon Saturday". Music:Jon Foreman's Single "THE CURE FOR PAIN" - 2007"The Cure For Pain" is the first single from Jon Foreman's debut solo EP, Fall. It was "released" Monday, December 10, 2007 as a free download on popular networking site MYSPACE'S HOMEPAGE. JONFOREMAN.COM also confirmed it as a single. It is currently unknown whether the single will be pushed for radio airplay adds or not. About The Cure For Pain, Jon said, "I wrote this one in Texas on a day off. I was reflecting on the passing of time. I have been playing music in Switchfoot for about ten years. During that period, I have been fighting pain or running away from it in a myriad of ways. And yet the pain is a constant. I have had some amazing moments singing gravity away but the water keeps on falling. I began to think the suffering I see around me, I think of the pain of a grandmother dying of cancer. Of a friend killed by a train. I think of the pain of death, of failure, of rejection, the pain of a father losing his only son. And I came to the conclusion that I cannot run from pain any longer."
