| Link was born in Mississippi, but lived in Arkansas until he was nine years old.
In 1999, Link was introduced to screwed
music. He quotes, "At first I didn't like it. It
just sound like a bunch of rappers yellin'
and screamin'. But it grew on me and I
started buying Swishahouse and Screwed Up Click cds and mixtapes."
It generally developed his interest in becoming a recording artist.
Afterwards in about late 2001, Link
and his brother "Da Show" would start their
own record label, "FREAKLINK ENTERTAINMENT."
The tag team dou would go on to release local
mixtapes and freestyles really just having fun.
But in 2005 he was motivated to take it to another
level. While perfecting his craft, he bumped into
industry veterans and released multiple mixtapes.
The sales would prove he was ready. Link
and his label FreakLink Music regouped
and officially turned the label into a real music
company. After years of hard work,
Link revealed his catchy and lyrical flow to the masses. The alias "LINK" explains the grind and heart of the Young MC. Link quotes, "I have worked so hard in this music business, when i get a chance I will help anybody coming up because I know what it's like trying to make it with no help. I want to be the "LINK" that people use to get further in their entertainment career."
When asked what "MISTA MAIN EVENT" symbolizes he says, "I've always felt like people didnt pay attention to me. I've always felt I was underrated. But now I'm the MAIN EVENT.. I'm the show. It's all eyes on me now."Labels & Companies Link - Mista Main Event has worked with:
