| Gezele Portwood hails from Flushing, New York. She is a performance artist encompassing many areas including many Off Broadway Musical Theatre productions. She is an accomplished vocalist having done work with many bands over the years. Her experience is vast, including recording, session, lead and backing vocals in many genres of music. Gezele has always been a vibrant, committed, active performer within the music industry. She now brings these skill to the for front with " The Refined Gentlemen" and is confident that you will enjoy the show. ............................................................ ................................................ Stuart David Greatorex was born in Sheffield England. At the age of eleven he got his first guitar and after a few years began to play and emulate some of the then popular musicians of the time. The late sixties was an inspiring time for young musicians as music was developing rapidly. New genres of styles were emerging from the rock, blues and jazz styles. Stuart's roots came predominately from the blues. Stuart left England in 1969 and immigrated to Australia where he pursued his career in the music industry. Managed by Michael Gudinski of Australian of Entertainment Exchange the band toured and played many major events around the country supporting major Australian artists and bands. Creativity and Originality was always one of Stuart's primary attributes so it was natural to move forward to writing, recording and performing original music.Stuart has resided in Queens New York USA since 2003........................................................ ................................................. John Catania has been into music since he was 3 years old. He started playing drums in school and played drums in lots of rock and roll bands where he grew up on Long Island, New York. Then in 2006 he made the switch to bass guitar, which for a drummer was just a natural fit. The bass players who have had the most influence on him are; John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Roger Glover of Deep Purple, Jack Bruce of Cream, Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath and Leon Wilkeson of Lynyrd Skynyrd to name just a few of the many bass players he tries to emulate. He loves all types and styles of music. Classic Rock, blues, bluegrass, southern rock, heavy metal, rhythm & blues, and easy listening. He'd love to see you at one of our shows. He knows you'll have a great time listening to good music....................................................... ................................................ George Wasek has been playing drums and percussion since the age of 14. He is an accomplished drummer in both recording and session work with many original and cover projects throughout the years. He spent two years of his career playing with “The Empire Hideous” doing local gigs in and around New Jersey. He studied with Joe Nevolo of Howe II and George Pagona of Freeway. Some of his influences include Dave Weckl, Bill Bruford (Yes), Steve Gadd and Simon Philips. He has used these influences to obtain a unique style in his playing and performing. His taste, influences and chops bring an outstanding performance to The Refined Gentlemen........................ | |
