| boogi loushou are a "Rock, Power Trio" from Glasgow in Scotland. Who create energy driven songs.
A demo was sent to the former drummer of Mike & The Mechanics, Producer Peter Van Hooke at Abbey Road Studios. Peter strongly believed the band had lots of potential and advised the band that to make it in the music industry, they would need to produce a quality recording that would do the songs justice. boogi loushou were offered the opportunity to produce and record their 3 song EP at Peter Van Hooke’s Lost Island studios, in La Gomera, Canaries Islands, with rock drummer and record producer Shaun Hawkes. Since their return from Lost Island Studios, boogi loushou have been gigging extensively all over Glasgow, creating a buzz in their area and broadening their fan base. They have been over whelmed by the response from the public. It was this, that first caught the attention of Dragonstorm Records. Who after visiting the band live, they were soon signed. boogi loushou have also received air play on Jim Gellatly XFM show. Thea Newcomb’s Show (Q96) and on Tartan podcast, TPN Rock Podcast and the unsigned Rock poacast websites. And Air play and live interview on Your Radio FM. As well as featuring in several Newspapers. Including The Evening Times. Boogi Loushou continue to go from strength to strength. What our label Dragonstorm Records say about us... Their sound is far bigger than a three piece band, which draws you into the core of their music leaving you wanting more. Their refreshingly unique approach to rock music stands out from any other rock band. With their radio friendly hooks, great harmonised guitar solos and compelling vocals, with a good ear for melody. Their relaxed and confident stage presence commands the attention of their audiences, who enjoy every moment of their set. For a band who have only been together for a short time, they are truly outstanding! Demonstrated by the signing to a Label after only a year of being together. They have a strong following and have had in the region of 16,500 downloads on myspace.. Their single “Jerry Lewis” is hard hitting power driven rock with a commercial sound.
