Formé fin 2001 à Strasbourg et délaissant peu à peu les influences death/trash de ses débuts, Absurdity incorpore aujourd’hui l’utilisation de samples dans ses compositions plus orientées metal/hardcore. Le groupe travaille actuellement en vue de donner une suite à URBAN STRIFE, premier E.P enregistré à l’ISR Studio, sorti en novembre 2007. Suite à la sortie en 2003 de la première démo « DECLINE OF THE HUMAN CONDITION » et malgré bien des changements de Line-up, Absurdity s’est déjà produit lors de nombreux concerts partout en France et en Europe, notamment aux côtés de GOJIRA, 25 TA LIFE, EYELESS, ARKANGEL, DEW SCENTED, BENIGHTED, VADER, SUFFOCATION, IMMOLATION, DESTINITY, BENEDICTION ou encore KRONOS et OBSCENITY…….. Les thèmes abordés par le groupe (influencés par des auteurs comme André Malraux, Franz Kafka ou Albert Camus) sont le mal-être, la misère sociale ou tout simplement la misère humaine...
