About Me |
|
Crossfire were formed about 8 years ago by bassist John Andrews and Man 2 Man vocalist Steve Reeves. Gigging the local pub scene Crossfire played the classic rock/blues genre, the likes of Free, Bad Company, Thin Lizzy etc.... About year in the current guitarist Karl recruited, after several years touring with Hells Bells. Karls playing style allowed the band to pursue different more modern music genres, aswell as using the AC/DC mantle, utilising the Angus Young suit, to add their own AC/DC tribute at the end of the night. This took the band to a new level. People started to turn up dressed in school boy uniforms, toting blow guitars.During this period the band under went several drummer changes, including FAB208 drummer Mr Dozy Powell. This line lasted a year or so. It was then that the band change direction and drummer Matt Staples was drafted in. Yet again this moved the band into more complicated material, some of which is still in the current set.About two years into his stint with the band Karl decided to move on. He had three bands on the go, including Bazooka Joe and FAB208, so rest time was needed. At this point Chris White joined. Chris was more of a blues player and the band went on to a more blues orientated feel. Chris stayed about year then moved on to bigger things. At this point Karl was asked to re-join.John was then offered the role in a Robbie Williams tribute act . He left to pursue this in June 2007. This is where the current line up came to be. With Nick and Nathan joining fresh ideas have been spawned and the new Crossfire is now more dynamic than ever. Nathan is a very versatile drummer with all sorts of influences and Nick is a stunning bass player. Together they provide a solid backing to the frightful guitar licks provided by Karl. With Steve's distinctive vocal Crossfire are a formidable rock band, with plenty of power and showmanship.Crossfire are one of Bristols top rock outfits. The four piece band comprises of Steve on vocals, Nick on Bass, R Nathan on Drums and madman Karl on Guitar, who have many years experience between them. They are a hard hitting, hard edged, energetic, but very tight and controlled, heavy rock/metal band with a stage act to go with it. Get a scroller sign at spacemisc.com! |
