WE ARE DISPLACEMENT, A 5-PIECE HEAVY METAL BAND FROM BOLTON; Our music is comprised of unrelenting brutal riffs, speedy tempos and catchy melodies, brought together with an uncompromising will to speak our minds on a varied range of subjects. The Displacement live show is extremely energetic, enhancing to the highly active and captivating music that we play. Every member puts as much effort into our performance as possible and we do our very best to get the crowd involved and keep the atmosphere alive. We are constantly pushing ourselves to the best of our musical and songwriting abilties, creating tuneful songs that most music fans can enjoy but retaining a savagely raw and brutal edge. We write material that appeals to today's diverse Metal audience, but that we all collectively enjoy playing. Established early in 2004, we have performed at over 100 gigs and events, sharing the stage with such acts as: MENDEED RSJ PANIC CELL STRAIN I-REMAIN THE INBREDS KYRBGRINDER FOUR WAY KILL BLOODSTREAM BLINDSIGHT And many other great bands. We have produced four solid and well received EPs: "LOUD AND PISSED UP BOLTON METAL SCUM" (Oct 04) "VICTIMS OF TOMORROW" (May 05) "THE ANCIENT RITE OF CANNIBALISM" (April 06) "DEMONS AT THE DOOR" (Feb 07). We are currently distributing a free 5-track promo CD with another newly recorded track and samples from previous demos, as well as a live track. Please contact us for a FREE copy. As a band, we all work very well together and put as much time and effort in as possible. Aswell as playing and writing in Displacement, all members have played a key role in developing the live music scene in and around Bolton. We have been responsible for organising many gigs and all-day festivals to provide our loyal friends and fans with the quality music that they deserve, and also helped attract many established bands to play in Bolton.
