I must admit my first love is vinyl but now everyone seems to be using FINAL....scratch that a**... oh i'm just messing I better wind this s**t up before i start confessing all my likes and dislikes, my do's and my don'ts my yey's and my neighs or my will's and my wont's so back to the music that's what I'm about I like to write songs from personal accounts I play the steeldrums, guitar and Djembe not really affected by what others say if i'm late to my job I travel by skates... much to the disgust of my boring workmates!!!So as you can plainly see I love love love music...all of it's facets, from the frequencies to the tones to the beats to the drones it is all encompassing for me. I listen to all kinds of music but when I DJ it is soulful, afro, spiritual, deep house music. Broken Beat always seems to find it's way into my set along with the odd disco track...depends what I'm feeling at the time (usually feeling to leave the decks and get on the dancefloor) HOOOOOO!!! Playing as a DJ on London's infamouse Housefm and Pushfm for over 3 years, I can now be found on lifefm. This is a rapidly growing community internet and fm radio station. It represents all faces within it's West London Community bringing a whole spectrum of music to the listeners. My corner of that spectrum represents DANCE music (as u probably guessed). You'll find me here every Wednesday 22:00GMT - 00:00GMT www.lifefm.org.uk or 103.6fm on the dial. So come keep me company for the Mid Week NIGHT VISION show I have also been writing songs/poetry/short-stories/articles for as long as i can remember. The gift of literacy and speech is one not to be taken for granted so I try to utilise it in all it's forms...creativity is my middle name (well actually it's not but if i could choose my middle name that's what it would be). Thanks to the Fanatics (UK Producers) I got the opportunity to write a track for UK Talent Kele Le Roc. It's a song for my sista's called Lesson Learned and is basically about taking something positive from every relationship, even if it felt negative at the time! I'm definitely a positive person and like to see the face of God in everyone...not religious...more of a humanitarian! Too many wars fought in the name of God but lets not get into that. Erm...what else....I play steel drums for the number one band in Europe and Third in the World EBONY STEEL ORCHESTRA and recently was at the carnival where we became Panorama champions again. I have been so fortunate to travel all over the globe playing the steeldrums and am forever thankful. Been playing for 15 years (jeez that's a long time...and i still aint that good ha) and have been to the World Cup in Germany, Trinidad for carnival and festival, Morrocco, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Amsterdam, Belgium, Brussels and India for Cricket (the most boring game on the planet....don't hate me). You can see all the places I visited in my Blog along with some cool pictures that I've posted. New Orleans was definitely my favourite city...ALL ABOUT THE JAZZ MATAZZ! Then again, getting loco down in Acapulco was pretty awesome as well.This is turning into a novel so i'll leave you with this:People are like stained glass windows...by day they shimmer and shine casting beautiful rays upon all that they encounter. But when darkness falls only those that hold the light within will retain their beauty...this little light of mine LA LA LA LA LA!!! |
