Music:Any of it that I find innovative, moving & emotionally genuine (not necessarily in that order)... words are not necessary.With that said, lyrics are especially important to me when they are present. I find it difficult to truly enjoy music that I simply don't identify with, agree with or understand what's trying to be conveyed. I also don't feel that music has to be fast and aggressive to be powerful. Actually some of the most powerful songs I can think of are quite the opposite. I tend to agree with the quote, "music is the space that exists between the notes." But there is a time and place for everything. In a nutshell I like it all, but I'm pretty damn picky. |
