BIOGRAPHY Born in early 2K5 from the ashes of former four piece Inmate, THE DAWN play fast, raw and evil punk metal for fans of Converge, Today is the day, Cursed and likes... Less than a year after they gathered, the trio recorded their first album .." loud tunes & furry tales ..", an explosive collection of 13 tracks written over a 9 months period, spreading the band's unique blend of metal, rock, hardcore, and punk influences. The album was released nationally through Several Bleeds records in April 2006 and has, so far, rather been highly acclaimed by the press and web critics. Boasting a strong sense of riffing and songwriting, alongside singular demonic orientated artworks and lyrics, THE DAWN clearly blow fresh air on the French extreme scene and really intend to spit their venom on every possible stage. In its only one year existence, the trio was lucky to share the stage with names like Cephalic Carnage, Knut, Disturb, Courtesy Blush etc... showing they can appear and perform in almost every type of heavy music event without shaking. October 2006 have seen THE DAWN's first tour alongside their genius labelmates Every Reason To... The band is currently working on their second album to be completed and recorded during 2008. So until you can listen to earbleeding new stuff from them do not forget this: SATAN IS REAL !!! |
