Plastic Heroes was formed in London by Marc Olivier (Vocals/Guitar) and Simon Nelson (Bass/Bv’s). They unleashed their blend of stylish New Wave rock with a hint of French pop on the capitals coolest venues. The band quickly earned a reputation for compulsive live shows that swaggered with wit, energy and a set full of unforgettable songs. Their unique sound reflects London / New York / Berlin, disaffection and love affairs, combining hooky guitar riffs, biting bass lines and watertight drums. Their songs are infused with the spirit of the Plastic’s own heroes - a list inclusive of the greats from every era. • Two well received self released singles (Dust Records) accompanied by promotional videos • Attention from legendary Producer Toni Visconti (Bowie / Iggy / T-Rex) • Playlisted by Tastemakers Rodney Bingenheimer (KROQ) and Indie 103.1fm (Los Angeles). 'Single of the Week' on XFM (London) • Toured extensively across the UK • Ep release and National Tour in France • Invited on many occasions to New York & Los Angeles to develop & record new material with numerous shows in both cities • Performed with Bloc Party, The Subways, Art Brut, The Nightwatchman (Tom Morello), Madjuana (Sami Yaffa), Silversun Pickups amongst others.Debut album ‘Escape The Lower End’ - due for release March 2008 on Bongo Beat Records. |
