| U-WIN (“You! Woman In the Now”) is the women's ministry arm of the Abundant Life Cathedral Church. Made up of many cell groups, they are dedicated to the spiritual growth of each other. Monthly activities include retreats, Women & Girl’s Night Out (WGNO), Women’s Conferences, and many others.Founded over 20 years ago by Saundra Montgomery, U-WIN began as a weekly sharing session with six ladies in a tiny sanctuary. Those initial meetings led to life changing experiences, and have now moved forward to become unit directors. U-WIN has grown into 80 groups meeting all across the city of Houston and surrounding areas, divided into both geographically and specialized needs. The women’s groups are attended by the full spectrum of professions, white-collar, blue-collar, self-employed, and homemakers meeting in homes, hospitals, recreational centers, shelters, and corporate office complexes.Under Saundra Montgomery’s directorate, U-WIN has extended its arms in a five- fold community Outreach:Women in Substance Abuse Battered Women's Shelters Teen Detention Centers State Prisons For Women Area Hospital/Nursing Homes and Hospice Units U-WIN’s doors and hearts are always open to women looking to enrich themselves within the body of Christ.
