| I got my first guitar on my eleventh birthday and I worked hard everyday at learning. I explored many different styles of music. I got into song writing very early with pop songs and also wrote many instrumentals. I studied jazz, classical, folk, rock and acoustic pop. It was in 1995 when I dicovered the blues. Writing pop rock music I read that if you want to play good rock riffs you must first learn to play the blues. Well I worked hard at it by listening to the great pioneers like Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Albert King and T-Bone Walker. I also regularly listen to Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. After listening to and studying these great artists I just fell in love with the blues and felt that I found my music. I have just recorded a full blues CD and using a hot back up band, I put my heart and soul into every note. My goal is to work as a studio musician, sideman guitar player, and write original blues based and blues influenced music and to tour with it successfully. | |
