Own Device is Rochester Minnesota's newest classic/alternative guitar rock studio band, with both a retro and current sound. Formed in 2002, the band has spent a lot of time in the studio writing, arranging, recording and producing their much anticipated, newly released CD. It features all original songs that are thought provoking, lyrical and full of great hooks, transitions and melodic guitar solos. Own Device brings over 50 years of combined musical experience to the band that is now being enjoyed by many.

We have been featured on "The Bill and Curt Rock Show", a full hour program on KRPR in Rochester, which was heard by many. Also, was a guest on "Rate at 8" on KROC FM radio in Rochester, which people called in to rate the song "Final Words". It did very well. The local paper "The Post Bulletin" had a full length article on the band and it's influences and recently a CD release party was held at Rookies in Rochester. The band continues to gain many followers, and we love to interact with all the listeners that are on our friends list.
