| Mighty Mouse became famous in 1942 by Paul Terry. The original idea of Mighty Mouse came from Izzy Klein. Mighty Mouse had dealings with "Oil Can Harry" and "Pearl Pureheart". Mighty Mouse had his only Oscar nomination in 1945.Mighty Mouse first appeared in 1942 in a theatrical short called THE MOUSE OF TOMORROW. The original character name was SUPER MOUSE.
Mighty Mouse originally had a blue costume with a red cape like Superman. Over time this changed to a yellow costume with a red cape. Paul Terry sold TERRYTOONS to CBS in 1955. CBS ran The Mighty Mouse Playhouse in 1955 and it ran for nearly 12 years.
