..05/01/07: My name is John and I write stuff. I live with two dogs (Tom and Jerry) and a sun conure (Tika) in Timpson, Texas. I refer to this place as Mayberry. I'm from Michigan, but live in Texas. I moved to Humble (Houston area) after meeting my wife about nine years ago. She passed away in February 2006. I moved to Timpson in December. I wake every morning, make coffee and write whatever. In the afternoon I read on the porch as the critters chase shadows. At night I leave one light on, turn all the lights off and consider responding to people here. Myspace is pretty much my connection to the world, because these days I'm more comfortable alone. If you want to know anything about me do a google search. Type "John Paul Allen" (with quotation marks because without them you'll get lots of links on popes). There's more than you'd ever want to know on the net.Update: Note the change in status. I've met someone - Lisa (see top friend) who snuck up on my heart and snatched it away. She's beautiful inside and out and I am in love.New Update 07/01/07: I thought about sharing this on my blog, but decided to first announce it here. I proposed tonight to Lisa - gave her the ring. What now? Well, believe it or not I don't tell everything. I'd like to keep our experiences (in most cases) private. I'm pretty happy right now folks. |

I love her. Writing is what I love to do.Anything else? Sports - baseball - I'm a Detroit Tiger and Houston Astro fan. In basketball it's the Detroit Pistons. Hockey - the Detroit Red Wings, damn it. I'd like to meet:I like meeting people who share interests, particularly those who read and it doesn't matter if they enjoy horror or not. Myspace has given me that chance a number of times. There's nothing I enjoy more than sitting and chatting over a meal or a cup of coffee or whatever... |

Music:It depends on the mood really and instead of listing every group or song I've mutilated in the shower I'll keep it simple and tell you what I listened to recently. I usually have something playing on my page, but someone posted a comment that came with music, thus I had two songs playing at the same time. I'm sure this will be corrected shortly... |

Television:I respect the opinion that television is full of crap, but it's not my outlook unless you're watching Mama's Family. That, no matter how you look at it, is total garbage. OK, there is trash on tv, but we have built in filters (our minds) and in my case I'm able to something worth my time out of just about anything I watch... again, except for Mama's Family.Favorite Shows: Lost, 24, The Office, House.. |
