NEWS: INFLICTION are working on their third album, whose title isn’t known yet. They think that this last work could be a new start, as Chris says: “ We wanted to explore new directions, we needed a renewal, we have always accepted challenges and… this album wants to be one of these. We are very proud and excited for the creation of this work and we are sure that the album will be a great surprise for many people…”. Maybe do you need something else?…JUST WAIT FOR IT!!! It was the year 1995 when the Milano-based metalband Infliction was formed as a five-piece, under the common will of playing a rough and strenuous music. In two years they succeeded in releasing their two demos, “Heretical” in 1996 and “The Bleeding Dreams” in 1997, with which they gained a good reputation in the underground-metal scene. In the following years, they had a lot of “in and out members”, and with this continuous line-up’s change they were able to play more than 50 shows all over Europe, between 1999 and 2002. At the same time, the band managed in composing its debut-album, called “The Faint Smell of Suicide” and released in 2002 by Voice of Life, with the vocal partecipation of Bjoern Goosses (Night in Gales), Aphazel (Ancient) and Draak Kimera (Mörk Gryning). From 2002 to 2004 Infliction spent their time in composing a bunch of new great songs, that were combined in their second album “The Silencer”, wich was recorded together with the precious partecipation of a long time friend, Bjoern Goosses (Night in Gales), who wrote the lyrics and agreed to record the vocals for this new work, that was released in 2005 by Cruz Del Sur Music. Starting from an album that was a mix from extreme and melodic music, Infliction combined their return on the stage with the creation of a new work, especially thanks to the stability obtained from the arrival of their new singer, in Autumn 2005. Thanks to a new attitude towards music and to their 12-years-old experience, Infliction were able to give birth to a strong and powerful album, that will be recorded during spring 2008. This new work will contain some typical Heavy-Metal elements, such as pregnant melodic lines and enthralling Gothic atmospheres. |
