About Me |
|
I'm dedicating this page in memory of my brother, David J Ulrich, who died 3 years ago, this April 15th 2008. David, also known as "Dave" to many of his friends, was the guy with the sly smirk that noone will ever forget. His street smart ways and his love for intensity made him an incredible firefighter and paramedic. "Saying goodbye is never easy It's the hardest thing to do But what hurts even more Was not being able to say it to you." David was an incredible father to his daughter Illana. He was so excited to be a father. After she was born, he turned to his mother and broke down and said "She's so beautiful." He was proud to be her father. He worked so hard to give her a good life. She was his pride and joy. "Yesterday is just a memory Our laughter was sunny and bright Then clouds started to gather For you were no where in sight." He was a wonderful son, certainly the apple of his parent's eye. He played baseball all through elementary school. It was his favorite sport. But was it an accident the day he hit the ball and hit his sister in the face, giving her a black eye? I think he was aiming :-) "No matter what my wrongs You offered only love Until the day you left me For your new home up above." He was the best at what he did. He was always the best and made everyone proud. The day of his funeral, the building was packed out the doors. The procession went on for what seemed to be miles. The faces of the waiting motorists quickly turned sour as they saw how long the procession was. "This is for all of you who would never pull over when he was trying to get through in the ambulance" were the words spoken that day. "He always did like to piss people off!" Yeah, that was Dave. "This is given to you in honor Of all that we did share I just wanted you to know Is how much I really did care." We will never forget you David. Your memory is forever in our hearts. Not a day goes by that we all don't think about you. It will be a wonderful day in Heaven when we come to meet you again. Except when your mother gets there. She's going to beat your butt! |
