| Distortion Drum is a hard-hitting band from Northern California. From the moment they got together they had dreams to create a style of music that would be interesting and new. With a mix of Hardcore Metal and Alternative Rock a definite sound was established for Distortion Drum: Thrashing guitars, crushing drums, booming bass and chaotic vocals. The band formed in 1998 with only 3 members; Beau Ferchaud, Rory Owens, and Clarence Lowe. Brandon Stevens was later added to the band as the 2nd guitarist. The four of them jammed with few singers before Mike Bennett was introduced and added as lead vocalist. Mike was a guitar player, but seemed to have the special spark for singing. After few practices they created their own material and started playing shows. Overtime they made enough songs to make their first album, "A Precious Moment." Many bands leant a helping hand to throw down some kick ass shows including: Red With Envy, The Domeshots, Common Ground, Reckless Abandon, Slaughterbox, Dayzago, Brain In A Cage, Northwest Royal and many more; Playing at casinos, clubs, concert halls, bars and countless venues. Distortion Drum has definitely grown to be a passionate but Powerful source to the local metal scene. This is a music video Beau made from our show at the Redding Sports Bar on 12/02/06.
