“These guys really kick started the house scene, funky scene, floorboogie scene, whatever you wanna call it, in this country… All different flavours under one umbrella.”
DJ Footloose. BBC Radio 1xtra (14/07/2008)
Welcome to FLOORBOOGIE is the much anticipated new album by unconventional dance music duo Ear Dis (Roxy ‘Arms’ Harris & Elroy ‘Spoonface’ Powell) who have charted an unusual course since their emergence in 2003 within the underground ‘Broken Beat’ scene with their track ‘Hey Girl’ which has long been a smash hit and dancefloor classic anthem amongst discerning clubbers. Ear Dis departed from Broken Beat convention by:
Shooting their own video for Hey Girl in 2003 which by the early months of 2007 was playlisted on MTV Base.
Being able to ‘do it live’ with full band (Radio 1 Live set Maida Vale Studios 17/03/07 & numerous festivals including London’s Lovebox Weekender & RISE (June 2007).
Being heavily anthologised across a range of music genres including Funky House (10 compilations to date including Kiss/Ministry Of Sound and Pacha).
And now releasing an eclectic album of tuneful dance music songs
Who are Ear Dis?
