THE AIM OF THIS PAGE IS TO DISSEMINATE MY MASTERING'S WORK, IN ANY WAY CONSTITUTE A PROBLEM WITH COPYRIGHT RESPECTIVE OF EACH OF THE MUSICANS THAT I HAD THE PRIVILEGE OF MASTERING.My full name is Mauricio Avendaño Pincetti. I was born in Santiago of Chileon
March 15th, 1979. Always I was a intruder person, I liked to know howelectronics things work, how was originated and transmitted a sound?. Idisarmed electronic equipment of many sizes and
the re-arming these. When I was 12 years old, I started calling radio stations, solicitingextended versions or
12", and mixing in small radios with cassettes.
At that time, I was the DJ of my school, always keeping my
electronic trend, reaching the vanguard. At that time, heard quite EuroBeat,groups
such as
2 Unlimited, Technotronic, Snap, U96 and others. That rock side was influenced, in myopinion, by one of
the best groups in history as it is Pink Floyd, along with a range ofprogressive groups influenced
also for them. When I was 15 years old, I decided to study Sound Technician.
With the
emergence of massive computer able to introduce software in recording,editing and mastering, as
also post-production. The complementarity with the theory that grew out ofcontinuity in my studies
Audio Engineering, managed to develop my understanding of musicalarchitecture. I played a few times in clubs
of electronic music, my tendency always has been the PsyTrance, so it was asuccess because I ran
mixing techniques and a good choice of topics combined for that night we hada cosmic trip. Ah,
otherwise no less, this debut was alongside one of the great musicians andDJ as is Tryptich.
I do not know why
I did not continue with the DJ's job,
probably because the work with waveforms, which is the blood of each track,this meant that flowed
this great connection that i have with music and at the same time, an excellent
opportunity to contribute my knowledge to improving each recording made bymusicians. These are
some of the discs that I have mastered.
I will try to organize the site step by step, which aims to show my work andthe time to explain processes
digital signal, such as how to work a sign, what the mastering is,
how digitizes an analog signal, which is the sampling rate (sampler-rate)and quantization (bit-rate)
etc..
The theoretical part is very important when it comes to record a theme,mixing and finally mastered. It should be borne
This latter process too, since the mastering not repair a bad mix. It is achain.
