Movies:I love gambling movies like God of Gamblers, God of Gamblers II, God of Gamblers III (the Stephen Chow one), and the Return of God of Gamblers (with Chow Yun Fat). And I love Stephen Chow movies....if you saw Kung Fu Hustle and liked it, I really recommend his other classics like Shaolin Soccer and God of Cookery. And King of Comedy (there's this bizarre scene with Stephen and this lil naked kid which is hilarious). I also love House of Flying Daggers and of course Crouching Tiger...just visually amazing, and the love stories appeal to the sap in me, lol. As far as non-asian flicks go...I loved Belly (despite all its storyline flaws and horrible lighting), and Anchorman. Oh, and I recently saw Say Anything again. Love that movie. Wish I could find me a Lloyd Dobbler, lol. |

Television:I never miss Lost, 30 Rock, Friday Night Lights (produced by my friend Carter Harris) and The Wire, also Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations (its like a travel n food show with the cranky chef who wrote Kitchen Confidential...I just like traveling and eating vicariously thru him). Of course I'm addicted to The Office (but im hating Jim and Quincy Jones' daughter together). Other shows that I'm DVR-ing this season: The Bridge (cuz I like old rap vids and respect Uncle Ralph), and Cheaters (cuz its such a sick guilty pleasure), and Arrested Development reruns on G4, Planet Earth, Cinema AZN on AZN tv (I learn alot from that show), some korean dramas, Video Music Box (again, nuff respect Uncle Ralph), Ego Trip's Race-o-Rama, Adult Swim (esp. Family Guy reruns), and always NY1 (nerd!). |
