BIO (ENG) The band was set up in 1998 by Massimiliano Ciani (guitar) and Francesco Vannini (drums). Tommaso Bacci (now drummer in Thrash Test) joins the band as bass player, and Stefano Bargigli (now in Dysthymia) is the other guitarist. In the beginning, the band name was "Dark Faith". In 2000 the guitar player Francesco Cucini replaces Stefano and Federico Stiaccini is the new bass player; with this line up the band start playing live and writing songs; Massimiliano is the singer in the first shows, when the band play mainly covers of famous classic, power heavy and thrash metal songs. Since the beginning of his live activity, the band received very good responces by the people. In 2002 the group changed name in Over Faith, and the next year is a turning point for the band; Massimiliano decides to concentrate on guitar parts and the band start looking for a lead singer. In May 2003 Dario Tanzarella, formerly singer in groups of the Siena zone (Inside, N-T3K, N.I.L.), joins Over Faith for some live shows at the end of the summer. In March 2004 Dario becomes an official Over Faith's member, and the band start the writing sessions for his debut release. In September 2004 the band enter the studio to record "Depths Of Madness". This first self produced release was recorded at Mi-9 studio in Poggibonsi (SI) by Gianni Campatelli. The recording sessions toke two months, and the CD was finally available on late April 2005. Over Faith celebrate his debut release with a show in Colle Val d’Elsa on May 7 at the Sonar. "Depths of Madness" receives very good responces from magazines and websites that sometimes mention it as "TOP DEMO" and "WATCH OUT". In the summer the band procedes with his live activity receiving great responces by the crowds and very good reviews. The character, the strong energy and the great feeling with the crowd permits Over Faith to spread their music with lots of concerts and improve show after show. Over Faith play in different parts of Italy supporting bands as Exodus, Mortuary Drape, Coram Lethe, Handful of Hate, Biomechanical, Brain Damage and more. In July 2006 Over Faith has take part in METAL CAMP 06, an international summer festival in Slovenia. Nowdays the band is searching for a deal and working at the writing sessions for his debut full-lenght album. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ BIO (ITA) Il nucleo base della band si costituisce nell'Ottobre del 1998, per iniziativa del batterista Francesco e del chitarrista Massimiliano che iniziano a suonare insieme; successivamente parte il progetto di dar vita ad un vero e proprio gruppo, quindi vengono reclutati il bassista Tommaso Bacci, attualmente nei "Thrash Test", e il chitarrista Stefano Bargigli, ora nei "Dysthymia". Questa è la prima formazione della band che Massimiliano e Francesco decidono di chiamare "Dark Faith". Ma tutto questo cambierà molto presto. Infatti nel 2000 Francesco Cucini viene chiamato a sostituire Stefano, mentre Federico Stiaccini prende il posto di Tommaso al basso. Con questa line-up e il nome "Dark Faith" il gruppo comincia l'attività compositiva e live; è Massimiliano ad occuparsi contemperoneamente delle parti vocali e di chitarra nei primi concerti, dove vengono proposte prevalentemente cover che vanno dal Classic Metal al Thrash. Fin dal primo concerto la band riscuote grande successo tra il pubblico che guarda con approvazione a questi quattro ragazzi. Nel 2002 arriva la svolta: il gruppo cambia nome in "Over Faith", e l'anno successivo decide di cercare un nuovo cantante, mettendo vari annunci nella zona di Siena e provincia. Risponde all'annuncio Dario Tanzarella che inizia a lavorare con gli Over Faith nel maggio 2003. Dario viene reclutato per una serie di concerti a fine estate. Nel Marzo del 2004 Dario diventa un membro ufficiale del gruppo e gli Over Faith intraprendono una intensa attività compositiva che li porta ad entrare in studio nel Settembre dello stesso anno per registrare "Depths Of Madness". Questo primo CD auto-prodotto viene registrato al Mi9 Studio di Gianni Campatelli e viene presentato al pubblico il 7 Maggio con un concerto che gli Over Faith tengono al Sonar di Colle Val d'Elsa (SI). Durante questo live la band ha modo di dimostrare quanto si siano evoluti dai primi tempi dimostrando grandi capacità sul palco: è questo infatti uno dei punti di forza degli Over Faith, la grande attitudine e il forte impatto che rivelano ad ogni concerto coinvolgendo il pubblico con la loro musica e il loro spettacolo. Durante il biennio 2005-2006 il gruppo ha continuato l'attività live che li ha portati ad esibirsi su diversi palchi in compagnia di molte band tra cui Exodus, Mortuary Drape, Coram Lethe, Handful of Hate, Braindamage, Biomechanical inoltre nel Luglio 2006 gli Over Faith hanno partecipato al METAL CAMP, festival estivo di importanza internazionale che si tiene ogni anno in Slovenia. Al momento il gruppo guarda al futuro ed è impegnato ancora in live performances e nella stesura di nuovi brani che andranno a far parte del primo full-length.
