The Devil's Minstrels are the most unique Death Metal band in the World, mixing brute force power, technical prowess and musical versatility into a look and sound never before seen or even imagined. They were originally formed by front-man Drexil and bassist / electronics guru Klaus in 2001 after disbanding their Tampa Bay area band, Flying Weasels of Doom. With the additions of Byl on guitar in early 2002 from the highly popular act Bone Alley, and the drummer Undead Zed in late 2002 from areas unknown, The Devil's Minstrels finally had the line-up that would take the Metal World by storm. After recording their first demo CD in 2003, DM met Weeley Mover, owner of Weeley's Vinyl Barn and genius behind heavy metal club The Metal Barn in Orlando, Florida. "The Devil's Minstrels demo was an auditory assault of epic proportions," says Mover. "Without a doubt, DM was... AND STILL IS... the best metal band I've ever heard. Absolutely brutal band." DM released their first full-length album, Metal Macabre, in 2004 and the follow-up, Raging Bones, in 2006. In addition to being roaring successes with fans, both CDs received critical acclaim in the Metal World. According to Hubert "Deathy" McDethington of Death, Dying and Ouch Publications, "This is DEATH METAL presented the way it SHOULD BE!!!" So what could the Devil's Minstrels do to top the success of their first two studio albums??? The answer was simple and, as always, HEAVY! DM released their first "live" album, Live at the Metal Barn, in 2007. And indeed, the quote from Metal Barn owner Weeley Mover on the album cover says it all: "Finally, fans the world over can experience the ferocity of the Devil's Minstrels live on stage from the safety of their own homes!"
