What is Razordog ? The first RazorDog’s album, "Lucy Fairy’s Club" is linked to a short story Chris wrote before the recordings. A story about some strange characters, an electronic chip, crowd enslaved by choice following a new God and system, and a place, where all lucid ones escaped to : the Lucy Fairy’s Club. it Sounds like a metaphoric story doesnt it ? I will let you discover more by yourself, do have a nice travel through his WEBSITE Take the time to lose yourself in this labyrinth. &nbspChris Menta’s Biography Chris Menta, guitarist for 18 years, started as a session lead guitar player for many bands or personalities. He performed in several kind of music as Gothic Rock, Classical, Celtic and medieval music, slide Blues guitars, Heavy-metal and Black Metal... One of his best experience, according to him, was to have played with Rozz williams, the Artbeast. His only music teacher has been Guy georges Gremy ( Ex little Bob Story, and more ), who taugh him the Yoga before to lead him more through his guitar From nicolas Dennis, "guru" from many scenes :" this youngster is an alive battery, this is amazing. I have heard him playing the most crazy lead guitars in clubs, and he seems to remain discreet with his great technic, something we can notice through his first album, where he has explored an idea instead of showing-off. I truly respect this and he has nothing to prove to kids playing guitar plans like robots without expressing something special. Put Jack E.Lee,Randy Rhoads, Andy Larocque, Eddie Van Halen and Vai in a shaker, shake it and serve, you’ll have this little devil. Grab him live, you will understand". in the years 96/97, he started to work on his first demos, with a need to record all he had in mind. Having played with numerous and different kind of bands, this helped him to feel free from belonging to a specific genre. Such decisions are often welcomed in a cold way by the new music business. As he said : " I already know how it will be at the begining : a hell, my friend...And this because I want to express something different, and don’t want to make any demonstration nor playing the way I was doing with bands in sessions. But this is my quest, and I want to offer a "weird album" at the begining, but I know the receptive ones will understand the process. Rock’n Roll is supposed to smell the sulphur, so why trying to make it smell like milk ? Night’s music always go back to its nature". &nbsp &nbsp Later, he will create RedBitch Production, where he will manage his main project, RazorDog, followed by its "brothers", Swamp-Coven and Naëzeth. The choice of this name was clear in his mind, being someone passionate with symbolism, he explains: "a kind of she-wolf, red to symbolize the burning passion, mother and muse of all creations." RedBitch Production will become quickly a place where other musicians around could express their art, and felt interested in working with him, knowing the multifaced music world of Chris. Several albums started to be produced there, which was also an exciting experience to Chris, as he could go on to play guitars for several tracks in different genres of Rock and Metal, etc. About this, he says : "It could be Heavy metal, Death Rock, Ambiant, Classic, Black metal, whatever, I am born for the night’s music. the main key is the vibe and emotion the musicians will spread in their songs. If I feel myself travelling through this, it is at this moment that I say ok to record them." AMANDINE FERRARI ( ex Seventh Harmonic ) to cite an example, will join him later for the production of her last album. &nbsp &nbsp Chris is often busy with several projects, but is openned to any propositions if you feel it is worth the try.
