| The Brazilian Top Team started with Bebeo Duarte, Murilo Bustamante, Mario Sperry and Liborio (who later came to the US to open the American Top Team). Students of Carlson Gracie, they started studying different martial arts even before mixed martial arts existed making them one of the pioneers of the sport, and later developing their unique hybrid Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.Originally located in Rio de Janeiro Brazil, the Brazilian Top Team was home for great champions like, Vitor Belfort, Paulo Filho, Ricardo Arona, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira the Minotauro.With the fast growth of mixed martial arts in the United States, The Brazilian Top Team felt the need to spread their team and to open a trainning center in America. Bebeo Duarte moved from Brazil to Las Vegas to direct the new extention of the team.Finally working in the United States, Bebeo Duarte being one of the most sought out trainers by professional fighters in the world, opened the door of his gym to train the UFC stars. Since his arrival in the US Bebeo has been training Forrest Grifin, Evan Tanner, Heath Herring and others.But the Brazilian Top Team is known for building champions and their latest prodigy they have been working on is Rousimar "Toquinho" Palhares.
