The 9th edition of our International Fanzine Fair and other alternative publications, that will take place at Casa Municipal da Juventude (Youth Center) – Ponto de Encontro, in Almada, Portugal, between November 7th and November 15th.

Feira Internacional do Fanzine

Realizada, habitualmente, na Casa Municipal da Juventude – Ponto de Encontro, Cacilhas, Almada, Portugal, tem como objectivos: o apoio, a dinamização e divulgação dos fanzinistas do Concelho, a dinamização de um espaço de encontros e permutas em torno dos fanzines e dar visibilidade a estas publicações.

A Feira teve a sua primeira edição em 1993 e conta, actualmente, com 8 edições. Para além do habitual espaço de exposições e venda de Fanzines, o programa tem também outros eventos associados, tais como workshop..s, animações regulares (concertos, DJ..S e vídeo projecções) e espaços de encontro entre leitores e fazedores.

Tudo é possível num fanzine, desde o formato ao grafismo, suporte material, conteúdos e formas de circulação, o fanzine tem como principal limite a imaginação de quem o concebe.

Este ano, irá acontecer a IX Edição da Feira Internacional do Fanzine, de 7 a 15 de Novembro de 2008, na Casa Municipal da Juventude - Ponto de Encontro.

9ª Feira Internacional do Fanzine e do Alternativo (9th International of Fanzine and Alternative)

International fair that is organized in the city of Almada, Portugal, on a venue called Casa Municipal da Juventude (Youth Center).

The main goals of this event are: support and promote all the fanzines worldwide; to show that this kind of alternative publications is alive; to promote the interaction between fanzine publishers and people interested in this kind of publications.

This event got its first edition back in 1993 and since then, 8 more editions were organized. Besides the usual space for fanzines exposition and sales, the program got some more events attached, such as workshops, lots of animations like concerts and video-projection and a place for a chat and change of ideas between fanzine editors and the public.

Everything is allowed in a fanzine, from the graphism to the format, the content, the ways of promotion, the design. The only limit on the process of making the fanzine it's the imagination and creativity of those who write it and design it. This year, the International Fair of Fanzine will happen in November, from 7 until 15.
